Webinar: Replatforming Without Blind Spots: z/OS & LUW Monitoring for Data-Driven Migrations

The webinar will focus on the architectures and functionality of the two tools Speedgain and z-rays. Specifically, it is about Db2 LUW and Db2 z/OS as well as the performance metrics of the underlying operating systems Linux and z/OS.

We show how both tools collect and store data and make it available for analysis and monitoring. We then present integration options that enable a standardized display and menu navigation. This makes it easier to analyze queries and jobs, especially when migrating from z/OS to LUW, and provides support early on in the migration phase.

In addition, the tools help to ensure performance and availability even after the migration.

The webinar will end with an open Q&A session and customer success stories that illustrate how organizations have successfully used Speedgain and z-rays to migrate without unexpected issues. By identifying and validating performance issues at an early stage, the tools support a smooth migration.

Speedgain for Db2 is very helpful to get a quick overview of the Db2 workload. The display of buffer pool, table and index usage as well as precise information in case of locking or sorting problems facilitate troubleshooting. If required, you can analyze individual SQL statements in detail and check index recommendations. Common performance reports are already predefined and can be used easily. The good and fast support of the ITGAIN support team should also be emphasized.
